I used this AR trigger in a forensics lesson but it could work in a social science class as well. We were studying that Alec Jefferies who invented forensic DNA fingerprinting in 1984. I realized that my students did not understand how recent this was because they did not understand what was going on in the world at that time. So to give context to his scientific discovery I had them scan this AR trigger with the APP LAYAR. It took them to a Tellagami on my You Tube channel which asked them to find five facts about the year 1984. Perhaps you might find this AR useful in your own learning environment.
